Edit images in Canva

Use this guide to learn how to edit images or create your own collages to be used on your website.

Step 1: Navigate to Canva

• Go to your Staff portal
• Open the Canva for Education essential item
  
• If you don't yet have this in your essentials, choose  Edit my essentials and search for it. You can then add it to your essentials for faster access in the future.
  

Step 2: Create a design

• Select Create a design.

• Select Custom dimensions.
• Enter the pixel dimensions you would like to use for your design.
• Image dimensions page lists the image dimensions for each image location inside your school's website. Eg: The banner image for theme 1 has dimension 1280px X 355px, so enter those numbers in the fields to make a theme 1 banner image.
• Select Create new design.

Step 3: Edit your design

• Select a template from the left-hand side of the page if you wish to create a collage.

• Drag and drop images from your computer if you wish to add them to your design.
• Use the handles inside the design to adjust the shape and size of your images.

Step 4: Download your design

• Once you have completed editing your design, select the download icon in the top right-hand corner of the page.
• Select Download.
• Once your image has downloaded to your computer you can upload it to the assets section of your school's website.
