Page template examples

Use this guide to learn about different page templates.

When creating a page you may come across a selection of different templates. You will find details on each template and when to use them.

Before you start

Alert

  • Alert page is specifically reserved for creating alerts on the homepage of your school website.
  • If there is an emergency at your school such as a fire or flood or you need to temporarily cease operations, it is important to create an alert on your website.
  • Alerts must only be used for emergencies and major health announcements.
  • Learn more on how-to create an alert.

Contact page

  • Contact page outlines school contact details and map for ease of parents.
  • It has a built in contact details and map feature which displays automatically when you create the template.
  • You will place contact details in the properties of the homepage and they will automatically show up on your contact us page.
  • Please note: your school website already has a contact us page using contact page template. You will not need to create an additional on if you have two or more campus.

Content landing

  • Content landing page is a standalone page which does not have any left hand side navigation. It has an inbuilt column control component. 
  • It is ideal for Calendars such as Google and Schoolzineplus or Skoolbag. You can also place a couple of videos using 33%/33%/33% layout in the column control.
  • You can add more components on the page using Drag components here button at the bottom of the page.

Content page

  • Content page is used for all global and local content on your school website.
  • It has a left hand-side navigation displaying all pages in the category.
  • You can select from a range of components to work on your content page.

Event landing

  • Event landing template is the main Events page and is created only once on your school website. 
  • Please note: You will not need to use Event landing template as it has already been created for your school website when it was set up initially.

Gallery landing

  • Gallery landing is the main Gallery page and is created only once on your school website.
  • Please note: You will not need to use Gallery landing template as it has already been created for your school website when it was set up initally.

News landing

  • News landing is the main News page and is created only once on your school website.
  • Please note: You will not need to use News landing template as it has already been created for your school website when it was set up initally.

Newsletter landing

  • Newsletter landing is the main Newsletter page and is created only once on your school website.
  • Please note: You will not need to use Newsletter landing template as it has already been created for your school website when it was set up initally.
