Get video link or ID from Brightcove

Use this guide to learn how to get a video link from Brightcove. To discuss Brightcove Video Cloud, log a video request.

Step 1: Log into Brightcove

Open a new tab and log into your Brightcove account. Read the Schools video user guide to learn more.
Go to Brightcove and enter your credentials.

Step 2: Select the video

Select the video you wish to place in video component.

Select Publish and Embed drop-down from the top-right
Select Web Player, a new window will open.

Step 3: Get the video link

Select Shorten from Preview in browser, below the video.
Copy the short link.

Brightcove video and account IDs

If you need to use the video and account ID from Brightcove, you can obtain them by accessing Brightcove with your login and following these steps:

In the top right corner click on your account name and the drop-down will show your account ID.
Go to the media section and click on the video you want to use
In the video information box you will see the video ID number

Brightcove account access

Each public school in NSW has a dedicated Brightcove account. School principals are the main administrators of their school’s Brightcove account. Principals can add up to 8 additional users to this account.
