Get coordinates from Google Maps

Use this guide to get coordinates from Google Maps.

Step 1: Open Google Maps

Step 2: Find the coordinates for your location

• Type in the location you would like to find the coordinates for. For example: James Busby High School. 
• The coordinates appear in the address bar at the end of the URL immediately following the @ symbol. 

• The first group of numbers including the minus - is the latitude.
• The second group of numbers, following the comma, is the longitude.

You now have the location coordinates from Google Maps, which are useful for:

• School footer
• Map component.
