Use this guide to learn how to get help whilst working in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).
AEM Navigation page
You can access help from the Navigation page in AEM.
How to guides
Click on the Adobe Experience Manager icon.
On the Navigation page, select the How to guides.
Ask the chatbot
Click on the Adobe Experience Manager icon.
On the Navigation page, select Ask the chatbot.
You will be taken to a webpage where you can access ViTA from the bottom right of the page.
Get support
Click on the Adobe Experience Manager icon.
On the Navigation page, select Get support.
The School Website Service form will open in Service Now.
Component help whilst editing a page
You can get help in AEM whilst configuring a component, and access brief descriptions for each of the components available for the page you're working on.
Component help
You can now easily access the how-to guide for the component you're working on in AEM.
On the component configuration screen, click on the Help icon.
The how-to guide webpage for this component will open in a new window.
Note: As the Alert page has been moved, its help icon link is temporarily broken and will be updated in a future release.
Component descriptions
You can access a list and brief descriptions of components available for the page you're editing in AEM, plus use drag-and-drop to add a component to the page.
In Edit mode, click on the Toggle Side Panel icon.
In the side panel, select the Components icon.
The components available for the page template will be displayed in a list.
Click on the Information icon to read a brief description about the component.
Click on the x to Close the component description box.
To add a component, simply click then drag-and-drop it on the page.
