Add links to the Parent App

Add links to the Parent App, such as to your school’s website, school canteen, uniform shop or other external webpages. Any links you add will be visible in the My schools > School details section of the app.

 

Open the properties of your homepage

  • Open the properties of your website homepage

  • Go to the App tab in the homepage properties.

Link to a page on your website

  • In the App SWS Page Links section, add a new link
  • Give this link the required name, for example: Payments
  • For the link, use /content/doe/sws/schools/m/myschool-h/www/payments - replacing the section in bold with the URL for your school. Alternatively choose the link to another page on your website.

Link to an external website

  • In the App External Links section, add a new link
  • Give this link the required name, for example, Department of Education NSW
  • For the link, use the full website address in the field provided, for example https://education.nsw.gov.au/

  • Select Save & Close to save your changes

  • Publish the homepage to send the changes into the Parent App.

When you have added the links and published the homepage, they will appear in the school details section of your school on the Parent App.
