Versions

Versions allows you to bring the page back to the content published previously. Use this guide to learn how to revert to a version of the page.

Important to note

  • It is not recommended to use versions unless aboslutely required. In most cases, if your page shows content on live website we would recommend copying the content and paste it again in rich text editor in edit mode.
  • Versions are not maintained all the way back as they impact system performance.

Before you start

  • Navigate to your page in Sites then select the page.
  • Select Toggle side panel (microwave box) with the drop-down towards the top-left corner below + Create button.

Find the version

  • Select Timeline and wait for a few minutes until the page history loads.

  • Select More... button if you cannot see New Version. New Version will have a number like 1.0 or 2.0 depending on the history of the page.

  • Select the first available New Version from the bottom of the list.

  • Select Compare to Current and wait for a few minutes until your page opens in two screens. If the page doesn't open properly, refresh your page.

  • Compare the Current and old version of the page and if it's the right content you wish to revert to, select back button on your screen which will take you back into Sites.

  • Select Revert to this Version.

  • Your page will show content from the old version.

Publish your changes

  • For changes to be updated on your live school website you will need to publish the page
